Krissy,

Thank you for your comment and questions. Glad you found me.

The short answer is, I am 5'6" tall and weigh 240. I do have aches and pains, especially in my knees. I wear a knee brace occasionally when I run.

I started out walking and then adding a bit of running in (maybe just a minute). I am almost to the point where I'm just running, no walking but it takes time.

I will answer your questions in more detail in a blog post. I just wanted to say "Thanks" for your comment.

I have just stumbled onto your website under a google search for the words "fat" and triathlete". Forgive me for not reading more before asking questions. But I want to cut to the chase. I wonder if I could do this. Right now I'm 6 ft 275 lbs. and I am frequently in pain. When I wake up my legs and feet are numb/tingly and walking can be difficult. I am slightly active while working on my feet all day going up and down stairs where I clean as a job but when I get home it's couch till bed then work again. The pain comes from the side where my smallest toe is on up my foot. I don't know if it's just my weight that causes it and if it's something you fight through to get healthy or if you can further injure by exercising but I don't have insurance to find out. Ok done with excuses. I watch biggest loser and it inspires me bc they are much bigger and run on treadmills and do crazy things at much bigger. They seem to all have some kind of foot wrapping though. Were you really inactive and fat? How did you start? What did you do to practice? Do you wrap your feet? What bikes are comfy and strong for my big ol butt? I need my health back. Any tips are helpful- font spare my feelings.

Welcome to the finger shoes world!! I have a pair of Vibrams, just one pair, for my 'work out shoes.' I like them, though I'm not planning to run a race anytime soon. :)

Congrats on getting back to your goal.

Remember, You only see obstacles, when you take your eyes off your goal. Keep your focus on where you want to finish.
